Duck’s Back

Aquatic am I, in either fresh water or sea.
A diver, a ducker I laugh all the way to the bank.
I’m misunderstood, a doctor that’s a quack
I can tell you your future and never look back.
I’ll tell you the prognosis, I can see that you’re hardy
And so the diagnosis treats your condition mallard – y.
But sometimes I’m hurt that you consider I fake.
I’m just a regular guy, a regular drake.
Water jibes glisten and splash as I duck
But all in all, I don’t care, I don’t give a ... second thought.
For the water is lovely and I’ll take it on the chin,
For the water is lovely, why don’t you come in?
And we’ll duck and we’ll dive way down to the sediment
For this duck out of water is still in his element.
